वक्त हुआ।

वक्त हुआ,
वक्त को छोड़े मुझे।
मंजिलें गुम हो गई,
अब तो बस,
हादसे ही,
पालते हैं मुझे।

कभी ये हुआ,
कभी वो हुआ।
कुछ नां कुछ,
हर पल हुआ।
जो कुछ नां हुआ,
तो ये हुआ।
बस कम नहीं,
मेरा ग़म हुआ।

कभी अर्श दिया,
कभी फर्श दिया।
ओ जिंदगी,
हैरान हूं,
तूने कहां कहां का,
का सफर दिया।

आकाश के साथ,
सितारे दिये।
ज़मीं के साथ,
अंगारे चिता के दिये।
नां खुशी की कोई उम्र दी,
नां दुख का कोई अंत दिया।

तूने जो भी दिया,
दिल भर के दिया।
खुशी भी तेरी,
दर्द भी तेरा।
बस झेलना ही,
था काम मेरा।

मैं नाज़ुक,
मेरा मिज़ाज़ नाज़ुक।
मेरे नाज़ुक दिल को,
तूने रौंद दिया।

जिंदगी है,
एक सिलसिला,
एक उतार चढ़ाव का।
पूछता है वासल देवेन्द्र,
फिर क्यों खेला खेल तूने,
जिंदगी और मौत का।

बहुत ज़ालिम है तूं वक्त,
नां सब्र है तुझमें,
नां दया है नां है करुणा।
ढूंढता रहता है हर पल
कब किसको है,
फ़ना करना।

हंसता है तूं हर पल,
हर किसी के ग़म पर।
होगा दफ़न तूं भी,
बद दुआंओं के
कफ़न पर।

वक्त हुआ,
वक्त को छोड़े मुझे।
अब तो बस,
हादसे ही,
पालते हैं मुझे।
